Over the last few years, the NCBOR Board of Directors has made a concerted effort to make an affiliate membership in this organization more valuable.  They recognize that the strategic partner members are critical to the continued growth and stability of the association.

As part of this effort, they decided to make the strategic partners council the body responsible for electing their representative on the board of directors.  I don’t believe this has been done by any other Board of REALTORS®.  It is a shining example of the appreciation they have for what you do, and the importance of your input.

For the first time, strategic partners will elect their own representative to the NCBOR board of directors.  This is a huge responsibility, and I urge you to take full advantage.  Read about the candidates and make an informed decision.  Then vote!

Following are the candidate statements for Elise Kimbell and Nick Kuglar:

Elise Kimbell

I am excited to submit my candidacy for the position of Strategic Partner Representative on the NCBR Board of Directors. I’m running because I believe in the mission of NCBR and the vital role strategic partners play in supporting and advancing our local real estate community. I’m passionate about building relationships, showing up, and being an active part of the work that moves us forward — and I’m ready to bring that energy to a leadership role.

During my time as a member of NCBR, I’ve taken every opportunity to be an engaged and supportive partner. I currently serve on the RPAC Committee, helping advocate for the future of our industry. I’ve been a proud member of the Golf Committee — planning one of our most fun and impactful events of the year — and I consistently attend membership meetings to stay informed and involved. I’ve also attended the GAR Conference to expand my knowledge and stay connected with industry-wide issues and initiatives.

Beyond that, I love supporting our REALTOR® members in any way I can — from holding open houses to putting together (really great!) auction baskets for events and fundraisers. Whether I’m contributing behind the scenes or face-to-face with members, I strive to be a resource, a cheerleader, and a consistent presence in our organization.

If elected to the Board, I will focus on:

• Strengthening the bridge between REALTORS® and strategic partners through collaboration and communication
• Expanding our presence in events and educational opportunities
• Encouraging more active involvement from partners by creating a welcoming and engaging environment
• Continuing to support fundraising efforts, community engagement, and fresh ideas that keep our organization vibrant and relevant

I’m proud of the relationships I’ve built through NCBR, and I’m ready to step up and serve in a greater capacity. I would be honored to represent our amazing group of strategic partners and help shape the future of our council.

Nick Kuglar

I am honored to submit my candidacy for the Strategic Partner position on the NCBOR Board of Directors.

For the past 4 years, I have proudly served as an active member of NCBOR while contributing through the golf committee, the new member engagement committee, and as Chair of the Technology Committee. As the owner of your GEICO Local Office for the past 5 years I have worked closely with our members to strengthen partnerships, build long-lasting friendships and was humbled to be selected as the 2024 Strategic Partner of the Year.

These experiences and relationships have prepared me to represent our Strategic Partners with dedication and vision for the future. If elected, I will focus on building stronger relationships and collaboration between our realtors and strategic partners. I will work to create new opportunities for engagement and ensure the board is working for both the realtors’ partners. This can be accomplished by continuing to grow our Strategic Partner Expos and expanding our partner panels to raise awareness for our specific industries. I am excited about the future of the board and committed to help advance our shared success.
